What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi permanent makeup procedure performed with a hand held tool ( not machine) with several micro needles that make up a blade. It is used to enhance your natural eyebrows, such as density, shape and symmetry.

FAQ?
Does it hurt?
Yes, there could be some discomfort. It varies per person.
There will be a 5% lidoicaine topical cream applied before procedure and another 5% gel applied during the procedure.
How long will it take?
Initial appointment approximately 2 hrs.
6-8 week perfecting session, around an hour
How long does microblading last?
This varies person to person, everyones results last a different amount of time. A color boost session is recommended 12-18 mths after your initial session.
Can I get microblading over scars?
Yes, you can, as long as it is not a keloid scar. Please advise me before hand if you do have a scar.
Can I get botox/fillers before my appointment?
Yes, as long as it is 2 weeks prior to your appointment and 2 weeks after your appointment.
Can I get my eyebrows done if I have previous permanent make up done?
Yes, you can, but it needs to be 80-90% faded. I will need you to send a very clear photo or come in for a face to face consult.
Can I exercise after getting microbladed?
You must avoid working out 5-7 days following your appointment. Light exercising at most, but I request minimal sweating. You must wash your eyebrows, as directed, immediately after. The salt in your sweat can result in poor pigment retention. Sweat carries bacteria, which can cause an infection.
Contraindications for Microblading
Pregnancy-Breast feeding-Accutane use within 6mths-1yr.- Chemo/Radiation with in 6mths-1yr.-liver disease-Hormone therapies can compromise pigment retention-History of keloid scarring-HIV
The following medical conditions require a medical note giving consent.
Diabetes type 1 & 2.high blood pressure. Auto immune disease. Any other medical condition that cause slow healing or high risk of infection.
Pre-Care
If you normally get your eyebrows waxed, please get them waxed at least 2 days prior to your appointment. If you would like me to use as much hair as I can please let them grow out. I will remove any hairs that are not within your new brow shape.
Avoid chemical peels 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
Discontinue use of Retinol/Retin A two weeks prior to your appointment.
Do not arrive to your appointment with a sunburn on your forehead.
Avoid alcohol, ibuprofen and any other medications or vitamins that may cause your blood to thin 24 hrs prior. If it is a prescribed medication please get a doctors consent.
Aftercare Instructions
The day of the procedure: after appointment every 2 hours lightly wet the gauze I have provided with sterile water and gently pat each eyebrow until you wash and apply your aftercare ointment provided.
The night of the procedure is when you will start washing your eyebrows.
Apply a small amount of unscented anti-bacterial soap to your fingertips and make suds. Gently pat the bubbles on your brows. Do Not Rub. Lightly splash to rinse brows clean and pat dry. Wait until your brows are completely dry and apply a small amount of aftercare provided to each brow.
Day 2-14
Continue washing every evening until brows are starting to peel day 5-7. Apply aftercare daily, AM & PM. If you have oily skin only apply aftercare in the evening after washing. If you have normal to dry skin apply throughout the day as needed. Do not overuse aftercare. Do not allow them to be extremely dry.
DO NOT get your brows wet other than when washing. Try to be careful when showering.
DO NOT submerge your head in any form of water. (pool, lake, ocean or bath)
DO NOT take steamy hot showers/spa/sauna.
DO NOT apply makeup or brow powder/pencil over brow area.
DO NOT expose your brows to the sun for prolonged amounts of time. Please wear a hat. Once brows are healed you should apply a daily facial SPF.
DO NOT heavily sweat for at least 7-10 days.
DO NOT get facial up to 4 weeks after procedure.
DO NOT get botox for 2 weeks.
DO NOT scratch or pick. This can result in pigment loss and scarring. Let it flake off on its own.
